Seeking Training/Workshops:
Hi everyone,
I’m pleased to let
you know that we’re running another group of skilled migrant development
program in partnership with OTEN and Internship in Australia.
The program suits
skilled migrants who have good level of experience and skills from overseas and
looking to start their career in Australia. The program aims to improve
clients’ job seeking skill and their communication/presentation skills.
The
large bulk of the training will be delivered online but there will also be 3-4
workshops. The training includes an element of unpaid local work experience for
up to 3 months in their skill area. There will also be information on industry
law and work rights.
The last program we
ran from Oct-Dec 2015 has seen three people found job in IT and engineering
plus a few more who are still doing their work experience.
Clients who are
interested should come to our information/enrolment session:
Time: 10-12pm
Date: Wed 2
March 2016
Venue: Room A-1.07, 51
Wentworth Road, Strathfield (OTEN’s office)
*clients should tell security
that they’re coming to the ‘SkillME session’ when they come to the main gate.
Security will then show them how to get to the room
Smart and Skilled eligibility
applies to the training, which means clients must be a permanent resident or
Australian citizen, or a New Zealand citizen to be eligible. Those who are not
eligible may still access the unpaid work experience. Please note unfortunately
there is a cost of $550 involved for local work experience which may be reduced
to $109 if the client has difficulty with the cost.
Please send your
rsvp to me with client’s name, mobile number, email address and their skill
area.
Thank you for your
attention and referral!
