 PETERSHAM TAFE Outreach is running a FREE career education and computing course for women wishing to return to the workforce.
 
The course is held on Monday and Tuesday during school hours
from mid-February to June 2014
 
Students complete Certificate I Access to Work and Training 10443 (National Code: 10088NAT
 
 
 For women who are seeking to re enter the workforce and need to update their skills
 
  • Explore work and study options in a supportive group environment
  • Develop your computing and information technology skills?
  • Learn how to use email, the internet and search/apply for jobs online?
  • Plan for your career and develop skills in resume writing and job seeking
  • Gain valuable work experience

The African Australian Inclusion Program (AAIP) is an initiative of the National Australia Bank and Jesuit Social Services. It is designed to provide appropriately qualified and skilled candidates with enhanced prospects of gaining a job in their chosen field by:


o Acquiring practical skills and experience in a large Australian corporate.


 o Working with a coach and mentor throughout the duration of the program.


o Being supported in resume development and job search skills during the last months of the program. 


o Providing future potential employers with a NAB reference. 


There are  4 roles in Sydney for this round – one in Finance and three in Technology. Please see the attached for more information on this program and the 11th February information session.


 


 Information Briefing Session, Tuesday 11th February 2014


 


The National Australia Bank and Jesuit Social Services offer a program of paid work experience and development for suitably qualified African-Australians at the Bank’s Australian offices in Melbourne.


 


The African Australian Inclusion Program (AAIP) is designed to provide appropriately qualified and skilled candidates with enhanced prospects of gaining a job in their chosen field by:


 


o Acquiring practical skills and experience in a large Australian corporate.


o Working with a coach and mentor throughout the duration of the program.


o Being supported in resume development and job search skills during the last months of the program.


o Providing future potential employers with a NAB reference.


 


We have 4 roles in Sydney for this round – one in Finance and three in Technology.


The positions will commence in May 2014 and candidates will work for a six month period in a supportive working environment. The work experience positions will be paid fortnightly at a market entry-level salary and a program of induction and external support will be provided through Jesuit Social Services.


 


 


 The Information Briefing Session is for prospective applicants, interested community members and leaders, and others involved with the African Australian Community. It will provide prospective applicants with an opportunity to find out more about the program and available roles, and a chance to meet NAB staff from departments offering roles in this round of the program.
