Description
This will give you the skills and knowledge to meet your legal requirements and protect your customers with training recommended by Health Inspectors and approved by local councils. This course includes the NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

Must attend all sessions to complete this course:
Monday 7 November 2016 - 12 to 3pm AND
Monday 14 November 2016 - 12 to 3pm AND
Monday 21 November 2016 – 12 to 3pm AND
Monday 28 November 2016 – 12 to 3pm
This course is 12 hours in total, delivered in 4 sessions as detailed above.

Description:

This joint SWSi Metro Assist and Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre program gives an introduction to providing a person-centred approach to care for people who may be aging, have a disability and/or require assistance. This role could be in the community and/or residential setting. The program is made up of three components;

1.    Classes covering the mentioned subjects,
2.    Weekly visits to Aged Care facilities (Aged care visitor volunteer) and
3.    Foundation Skills classes. Completion of all three components will enable a pathway into Certificate III in Individual Support. Participants will gain a range of academic, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as demonstration in a work environment based on the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

Information Day (Compulsory): Thursday 20 October 2016 10am to 12pm TAFE Bankstown Room - EG08
Program Commencing: Wednesday 26 October 2016
Classes and Facility Visits: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 2.30 pm
