College 2015 Refugee Scholarship

The UWSCollege Refugee Scholarship provides
assistance to refugees in gaining the English language skills required for
entry to UWSCollege or the University of Western Sydney (UWS). These students
will have university study as their goal and the scholarship will provide
effective support to enable students to achieve this and realise their
potential within the wider community.
There will be scholarships available (valued at up
to 40 weeks maximum of study per successful applicant) to fund a recipient's
English language study. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis
during the first quarter of each academic year.
Application
Personal Statement
In approximately 250 words, applicants should
describe their past education and work experience, their future plans
and their reasons for wanting to study at the
University of Western Sydney (UWS). Applicants may also include other
information that would support their scholarship
application.
Supporting Materials
Applicant will need to provide the following
supporting materials:
• a
current curriculum vitae
•
evidence of completion CSWE 3 level of English or IELTS 4.5 level of English
•
evidence of previous studies and academic eligibility for study at UWS
• contact
details of two current referees, preferably professional.
